Clinicians who love what they do

What is a BCBA?

What is a BCBA?

What is a BCBA?

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is a master’s or doctoral-level clinician who specializes in behavior analysis.

  • BCBAs conduct assessments, design individualized treatment plans, and oversee therapy programs.
  • They train and supervise RBTs and other team members to make sure treatment is effective and consistent.
  • BCBAs also work closely with families, providing parent training and progress updates.

Think of your BCBA as the team leader and clinical expert, ensuring that every step of your child’s program is evidence-based and tailored to their needs.

What is a BCBA?

A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a paraprofessional who works directly with your child under the supervision of a BCBA.

  • RBTs provide one-on-one therapy sessions, using the techniques outlined in your child’s treatment plan.
  • They help children practice skills like communication, daily living, play, and social interaction.
  • RBTs also collect data during each session so the BCBA can monitor progress and adjust goals as needed.

Think of your RBT as your child’s day-to-day coach, supporting skill-building and celebrating wins along the way.
